How you go about creating your own information products

If you’re expert at writing, then by all ways try to create your own information product yourself. Why would a seasoned ghostwriter advise you to take business away from freelancers?

Because it puts your own voice in it like no one else can create. If you go with a freelancer to create your information product, then you’re going to have to rely on them to generate your products for years to come – or else your visitors of loyal consumers will be able to spot the alteration in style and tone.

Of course you can begin with the simple WordPad or Notepad tool that came with your PC when you buy it. However, to cut through some additional formatting steps, i.e. – copying and pasting, etc., it’s best to start out with a tool with a bit more role like Microsoft Word, or the better, and free alternative, Open Office.

Now that you have just the precise writing tool, let’s start writing. Make a list of the things that you like to do, or do. Whether it’s a hobby you enjoy, your job, or caring for pets or children. Even the smallest thing that you might not think is significant, like an easier way to clean up after family get together. A good thing to consider is that things we often overlook or take for granted because we do them on a constant or reliable basis someone else might have an interest in learning and have never done before. Then, look over the list you just formed and pick a subject from it. But, keep a hold of this list someplace as you may want to return to it to invent a new product, or even numerous new products.

You should also plan how the effort and extra time needed to generate a product will fit into your already overscheduled day. One of the best ways to avoid product subside is to build up a reasonable schedule and acknowledge that something will suffer while your creative juices are flowing. List your present responsibilities to both home and business. Then, using a calendar, plan your time for present responsibilities and time for the new project.

Remember, it’s not the luckiest, smartest or most connected people who do big things in the world. It’s the people who get it done.
